What do we love about the EA UFC series? It combines well-developed fighting mechanics, fantastic visuals, and – what it shares with FIFA, NBA, and other popular series – a constantly updating relation to the real world. To keep the game even more relevant in 2021, the new update on November 6 adds more legendary fighters.
The new update to the game released in 2020 is named Prime Icons. It features six sportsmen whose fame is quite sufficient to be reflected in such a game. They are naturalistically designed: not only do they resemble their prototypes’ appearance, but the AI behind them emulates their style and behavior as well.
The newcomer list includes George St. Pierre (Canada), Alistair Overeem (Netherlands), Anderson da Silva (Brazil), Michael Bisping (UK), Khabib Nurmagomedov (Russia), and Joanna Jędrzejczyk (Poland), the only female star among them. These fighters from the last two decades might never meet in the octagon (at least while being at their best). It means that you have a perfect, unique chance to see which of them is the best. At least, when you control them.
When it comes to their parameters (health, striking, and grappling), they all seem to be strangely balanced. While, say, Nurmagomedov only lacks 1.5 stars out of 15 possible, Jędrzejczyk has two stars missing, and Bisping even 2,5! All the other fighters have 14 out of 15 stars distributed across these branches, being seemingly more attractive alternatives. Though, EA has some features to make up for this disbalance. Until November 30, fans will be able to grab a customization pack that includes short sets, avatars, and stuff.
Which of these fighters is your favorite? Is it about personal qualities or about the era they represent? Who would you like to play first? We’d like to read your response in the comments. Thanks in advance!
