The popular Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has been upgraded with an update, integrating new accessibility features and enhancing existing ones. The patch aims to ease the gameplay for a broader player base.
The recent update, patch number eight, introduced January 11, includes a unique high-contrast mode. This lets players dilute the environmental colors, emphasizing distinct components such as characters, hazards, and objects, enhancing visibility. According to the game's accessibility page, each feature can be tailored to match individual player's preferences.
Another addition is the Audio ping functionality, enabling players to echo-locate objects and elements using environmental pinging. The mode offers 'passive ping' to automatically locate points of interest as Cal comes closer. In contrast, 'active sonar ping' gives players the control to release a sonar pulse and get a returning ping from nearby interest points. Players also have the flexibility to modify the volume, speed, and radius of the sonar.
The patch also offers new presets to the pre-existing slow motion mode that now lets players opt for 75%, 50%, or 30% settings, apart from the standard custom setting.
