The creator of Manor Lords is seeking input on future developments within its Early Access phase, leading to a divided community response. Having just launched into Early Access, Manor Lords has swiftly garnered a large following. The game's creator is reaching out to fans for opinions on which new features should take precedence in 2024, revealing a clear divide among the community's preferences.

Inquiring about the primary objective for Manor Lords during its early access period in 2024, the developer conducted a survey on Twitter. Participants were given four choices: establishing AI cities, introducing castles and siege mechanics, enhancing late-game economic aspects, or integrating different types of maps. From over 30,000 votes tallied, the preference for new map variants trails significantly at 8.8%, whereas enhancements to the late-game economy received 23.1% support. Leading the pack, the demand for AI cities and the introduction of castles and siege mechanics are closely contested, with 33.1% and 35% of the votes, respectively.

Currently, Manor Lords includes AI adversaries, yet they lack the capability to construct their own urban centers, a detail some players feel renders the world somewhat desolate. On another front, although the game boasts a castle design feature, players have had to creatively repurpose this tool to erect makeshift strongholds due to the inability to build authentic castles. It's evident that players are eager for these additions to be prioritized in the game's development.

While Manor Lords has been receiving minor updates with impressive promptness, the timeline for the introduction of significant new features remains to be seen. The game's Steam description mentions an anticipated Early Access duration of about a year, a timeline that may adjust based on how player feedback influences the game's evolution.
