Riots Games developers, famous for Valorant and League of Legends have recently announced the purchase of Warming Sydney studio. It is one of the biggest developers in Australia, well known for its work with World of Warships and World of Tanks. According to the announcement, the new studio will have a new name Riot Sydney.
Riot Games announced the new acquisition only recently. The company they’ve bought is well known in Sydney and around the world for the games like World of Tanks. The announcement says that they will be called Riot Sydney from the very moment, and will be working on the Valorant and League of Legends products. The company will take an active part in game development, and become a part of the tech team of Riot.
According to the co-founder and the head of Riot Games, Marc Merrill, the company is excited to have the new addition and welcome new developers. Mar Merrill says that both teams will join forces together to work on the Riot’s projects. He says that Riot was watching the development of Sydney’s company and how they’ve achieved incredible results in the industry. He also mentions that Naresh Hirani aka Naz and his team have great experience working on a challenging project and reaching success.
Riot Sydney, according to the statement, will join the Riot in their daily tasks. The company will work in the same offices with the same staff. The whole development department will be saved. As for the publishing team members, they will still be part of Wargaming. Wargaming, meanwhile, will still keep the BigWorld Technology company. This very company provides the technologies and helps to run the MMOs and other online games.
