WhatsApp's Latest Update Introduces Green Elements and Revamped Icons for Apple Device Users

WhatsApp has recently launched an update accessible to all Apple device users, featuring slight adjustments to its layout and an enhanced capability within its video call option. This update, which debuted on a Monday, is a global stable release, ensuring its availability to all users of iPhones. To locate this update, users should search for WhatsApp in the App Store. This recent version introduces modifications in the green-colored buttons and layout design, alongside revisited layout components.

The current version for the WhatsApp iOS application has been updated to 24.9.74. It is now ready for installation across all compatible iPhone models as soon as it is released. The deployment of this update is being done in phases, meaning some individuals might experience a brief wait of a few days before gaining access. WhatsApp has announced that the novel features will be distributed to everyone in the forthcoming weeks.

WhatsApp's Latest Enhancement

Remarkably, this update incorporates green-colored buttons and alert icons for iOS users. The instant messaging service initially tested this attribute last month and has similarly extended it to numerous Android users in the past few weeks. Subsequent to the update, the button for creating a new message along with the icons for new groups, contacts, and communities are now displayed in green. Similarly, notifications regarding unread messages and the count of such messages next to the chat list will be in green. While green was the standard shade for the night mode, it has now been brightened and is also visible in light mode.

In addition, the latest WhatsApp update introduces an updated set of icons throughout the app, which were previewed in an earlier beta version and are now being made available to all users. This redesign aims at maintaining uniformity in the icons used across its platforms on Android, iOS, and web.

Moreover, the update enhances the screen-sharing feature in video calls by adding audio support. Previously, while sharing their screen, other call participants could only listen to the external sounds captured by the microphone, without the device’s audio. Now, the feature allows for the simultaneous listening of both audio streams. This improvement has also been recently implemented on the Android version of the app.
